Director of Urgent Care

Position Summary

The Director of Urgent Care would lead and manage our growing urgent care division. This role is an opportunity to influence patient care delivery, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.

The Director of Urgent Care will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of our urgent care services. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will ensure clinical quality, optimize workflows, and drive patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare leadership, a commitment to excellence in patient care, and a collaborative approach to team management.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the urgent care department.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to ensure continuity of care and integration across services.

Operations Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including patient satisfaction, quality metrics, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with administrative teams to manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

Team Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor clinical and non-clinical staff in the urgent care division.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Strategic Planning

  • Assess and expand urgent care services to meet patient needs and market demands.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to maintain competitive services.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Address patient complaints and incident reports promptly and professionally.

Salary
115K - 170K Commensurate with experience


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Clinical background (e.g., PA, NP, MD, or DO) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience, with at least 2 years in urgent care or ambulatory care settings.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex workflows.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and operational excellence.
